Baldessarini: separates the men from the boys
In 2003, the perfume Baldessarini was created for the Hugo Boss collection. First, the clothing brand Baldessarini was launched, named after the creative director of the brand, Werner Baldessarini, and then the perfume line was expanded. The advertising slogan “Separates The Men From The Boys” – directly screamed – this is not for boys! This is for men. And initially the advertising posters depicted an elegant, charismatic man. Real person – Charles Schumann, then owner of a popular bar in Munich and author of a book of cocktail recipes. His successful career spans over forty years.
His appearance is familiar even to those who have never set foot in a bar: Mr. Schumann was once the face of advertising campaigns for Hugo Boss and Baldessarini. And in ordinary life, despite the fact that he is seventy-five years old, he looks like a model from the cover of a magazine: in a beautiful suit, graceful and majestic, with a great sense of humor and charisma.
“Charles is a very famous person in Munich. For 40 years he owns the most popular bar frequented by celebrities, business people and ordinary people. You see, Charles looks like he is already a thousand years old. It is much easier for him to show our quality and stylish clothes than any Norchi mannequin. would do it. He looks like a strong, experienced and at the same time vulnerable man. Charles is a man who does not strive for success, and this is his usual state.”
BALDESSARINI EAU DE COLOGNE: THE HISTORY OF CREATION
It was necessary to disappear this stamp. The brand has hired two legendary perfumers from the IFF perfumery laboratory – Jean-Marc Chayan and Pierre Varnier. Shayan’s nose belongs to the famous Tom Ford For Men, London for Women Burberry, Calvin Klein CK IN2U for Her. And Varnier – L Homme для Yves Saint Laurent, Estee Lauder Intuition For Men, Diesel Only The Brave.
The bottle has a classic shape that replicates the look of an antique Singaporean cologne bottle. Baldessarini Eau de Cologne – just a good fragrance for mature men. Moderately spicy, moderately woody, moderately attractive. The result is a harmonious, elegant composition that has been on the perfume market for over 20 years. The idea of creating Baldessarin was created in order to break Hugo Boss aromas from the aromatic template: for a long time Boss created perfumes for teenagers and young men.
Aroma classification: woody, spicy
Top notes: tangerine, bitter orange, green mint
Heart: patchouli, clove, cumin
Base: sandalwood, tobacco, amber, musk.
To say that the fragrance is not trendy and out of date would be wrong. Classical compositions live for a long time. And Baldessarini’s perfume code can be safely called classic. And that’s because citrus, spices and woods just won’t disappear from the perfumery components. And it is they who give the owner a solid, masculine charm.
